## Summary
PocketDesq lets you view and control your Android phone from a web browser on
another device connected to the same local network. The app does not collect,
store, transmit to us, or share any personal data. All streaming and control
happens directly between your phone and your own device over your local network.
02
## What the app does
PocketDesq streams your phone's screen and audio to a web browser on your local
network and lets you control the phone remotely (taps, swipes, typing, and
navigation). To do this, the app uses the following Android permissions:
- **Screen capture (MediaProjection):** used to capture and stream your screen
to your browser. Capturing only occurs while you have explicitly started a
session and granted the system screen-capture prompt.
- **Audio capture:** used to stream your phone's playback audio to your browser,
if you enable audio streaming.
- **Accessibility service:** used to perform the taps, swipes, text input, and
navigation actions that you send from your browser. It is used solely to carry
out your remote-control commands.
- **Network access:** used to run a local web server on your phone so your
browser can connect to it over your local network.
03
## Data collection and sharing
PocketDesq does **not** collect, store, log, sell, or share any personal or
sensitive user data. Specifically:
- The screen, audio, and control data are transmitted **only** between your
phone and the device you connect from, over your local network.
- This data is **not** sent to the developer or to any third party.
- The app contains **no** analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.
- Data captured through the Accessibility service is used in real time to
perform your requested actions and is **not** stored or transmitted anywhere
beyond your local connection.
04
## Data stored on your device
Some settings (such as your preferences and whether features are enabled) are
stored locally on your phone using Android's standard app storage. This
information stays on your device and is not transmitted anywhere. It is removed
when you uninstall the app.
Files you choose to transfer from your connected device are saved to your
phone's Downloads folder at your request. The app does not access or transfer
any other files on its own.
05
## Security
Connections use a session PIN displayed on your phone, which must be entered in
the browser to connect. PocketDesq is intended for use on private, trusted local
networks. Because connections on a local network are not encrypted, you should
only use the app on networks you trust and not on public or shared Wi-Fi.
